  • DO NOT SLEEP IBIZA
Earlier this year I was asked by the DJ and Promoter Chris Bones to create a logo for a night he was launching called DO NOT SLEEP. The brief was to create something in your face, something that stimulated and something that had not been done before on the island, so I created a Logo with heavily contrasting colours that worked with passive 3D glasses.
The Logo is instantly recognisable and remains dominate when placed next to other club graphics.

Since the logo was made public in its launch earlier this year it has already been copied by another DJ duo Like Mike and Dimitri Vegas for their night ‘House of Madness.’

Since its creation the logo has been passed on to his in house graphic team and they have applied the logo and created all of the advertising campaign for the season.

DO NOT SLEEP is now the hottest new night in Ibiza with attracting thousands of people weekly and world press.

  • Aloka 3D imaging
Aloka is a start up 3D imaging company in London.
As Aloka are a start up company i felt it essential for the logo to hint at the nature of the business and beneath spell out what the company does in a professional and friendly manor.

  • Cavendish Recruitment
This is the Brand Identity i created for a Recruitment company in London.

    The Type
Arguably the most important aspect of design is typography, for this brand what makes the design more memorable is the use of two iconic fonts, Times New Roman and Helvetica.

Times New Roman was selected, as it is synonymous with the British financial and business sector. In essence this font conveys the message that your brand is a hard nose British business.

Helvetica was the second font to be selected as Helvetica is what is known as a neutral font, it does not swing either way to a certain style it just is, the beauty of having your brands second font as Helvetica is that Helvetica is synonymous with perfection, this is with out question the most adopted font in the world, Calvin Klein, BMW, American Airlines, British Gas all use this font so not only is the font perfectly constructed through association this has become a trusted iconic font.

    The Mark
Avoiding the visual clichés the mark that I have created for this brand is a Hummingbird, a Hummingbird was selected as they are beautiful, elegant, extremely quick and efficient creatures with a subtle undertone of femininity and this is exactly the values I want the brand to communicate.

  • UK Drugs Deaths
Drugs are something that affects almost everyone, It seems to be one of the talked about issues week in week out and whether people know the facts or not generally people will have a strong opinion about it.

    Within these info graphics show three types of data;

Type one - Drugs in order of lethality (this includes long term damage to the user, average yearly death rates across the UK, cost to the NHS and harm to the public.)

Type two – Drugs in order of average yearly death rates across the UK

Type three – Drugs relative to number of users (this is the most interesting set of data, I haven’t seen this type of data on this subject created or visualised, in this hypothetical situation there is the same amount of drug users for every drug therefore making the drugs death ratio relative. In this example you can see clearly just how lethal a drug is.)

All data provided by the BBC.

All statistics are based on average number of deaths per year in the UK.

With diabetes and obesity on the increase over the world it is important to be informed on exactly what we are consuming, whilst the information is readily available it is sometimes not displayed relatively to the consumer.

Fast food and fizzy drinks are great not only for the economy but they taste great too but it is so important to know and understand what is in these products and how it effects our health.

It is important to note that just because a person is slim it does not mean that there insides are healthy your heart, kidneys, eyes and nervous system can be put under an extreme amount of pressure through excess sugar consumption and this can quite often lead to obesity and diabetes so it is important to understand what is in these products so we can then enjoy them in moderation as apart of a balanced diet so that we can all live a little healthier and hopefully longer!

Again all data was sourced directly from the company website and relative to the world health organisation standards.

    ( Based on a 2500 calorie a day diet )
    ( 50grams of sugar per day )

  • Ansell industrial gloves
Ansell is the world’s largest manufacturer of protective gloves. They are the recognized leader for products that defend against workplace injuries and product/process protection with exceptional levels of protection against cuts, abrasions, chemicals or other hazards.

The initial Brief was given to Gravity UK to produce an advert that was informative not preaching, positive – about solving the problem and on the side of the worker (comfort, safety) and the employer (efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, fulfilling duty of care)

I designed a series of adverts for this brief, some are designed to the brief and some were created as I would like them done.
